STREET LEAGUE PRO TOY LINE SET TO HIT TARGET STORES IN SEPTEMBER
NEW FLEX FIGURES BRING THE REALISM OF SKATEBOARDING’S BIGGEST STARS AND THEIR TRICKS TO THE PALM OF YOUR HANDS
Los Angeles, CA – August 26, 2012 – Street League Skateboarding announced today that their all-new toy line will hit the shelves of Target stores across the country on September 9th, 2012.
Available exclusively at Target, the Street League Flex Figures are the first toys to launch from a line that will also include mini collector boards. The four skaters featured as figurines are 2011 League Champion Sean Malto, 2010 League Champion Nyjah Huston, Street League Las Vegas winner (2010) Shane O’Neill, and fan favorite DC Pro Mikey Taylor.
Manufactured by Ronin-Syndicate Toys, the Flex Figure technology offers the first fully life-like movement in an action figure. This offering allows the ability to move, pose, and perform tricks just like the actual skater would.
The toys were produced utilizing input from the actual skaters themselves. The designs used full 3D scans to capture the facial expressions that each athlete wanted, while making sure each of the four Street League pro’s provided feedback throughout the entire production process.
“This is the best toy line skateboarding has ever seen” said Street League creator Rob Dyrdek. “Whether it’s a kid playing with his favorite skater or even a fan of collectible action figures, these toys are a true testament to the remarkable progression of the league and our desire to offer up fun and innovative pieces to the fans.”
Each pro comes equipped with the actual clothing and brands that they wear in the streets. Those brands found on the various figurines include DC Shoes, Diamond Supply Company, Grizzly Grip Tape, Escapist, and Skate Mental.
Priced at $12.99 each, the figures stand seven inches tall and each comes with his own mini skateboard as well as well a DVD containing highlights of each skater from the 2011 Street League season. Beyond the clothes and color ways of the four figurines to hit shelves in September, each of the skaters will also feature new clothing options and color schemes later in the fall.
